Florian and I spent eight days cycling through Champagne and Alsace, covering roughly 625 km. We rode from Châlons-en-Champagne to Aÿ-Champagne, made trips from Colmar to Strasbourg and across the border to Freiburg, and climbed into the Vosges.
The trip was loosely planned: quiet roads, long stretches of countryside, and the simple rhythm of riding each day. I wrote a little more about the trip in The Friction of the First Pedal Stroke.
