I joined a friend’s trip to Portugal in March 2025, spending time in Lisbon and Porto before a spontaneous getaway to Madeira. In Porto, we made a game of trying pastéis de nata from bakeries as we explored.
Madeira was for walking: levada trails and mountain ridges above the clouds. The unplanned part of the trip became one of my favorite memories from that year.
